Artist Bio:
Liquid Gold was a British disco group formed in 1978. The group's lineup consisted of singer Ellie Hope, bassist and vocalist Ray Knott, guitarist and vocalist Syd Twynham, keyboardist Wally Rothe, and drummer and vocalist Micky Delaney. They are best known for their hit single "Dance Yourself Dizzy," which reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in 1980. The song also achieved success internationally, charting in countries such as the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Despite the success of "Dance Yourself Dizzy," Liquid Gold never reached the same level of commercial success with their subsequent releases. The group disbanded in the early 1980s after releasing a few more singles and an album. Liquid Gold's music is often associated with the disco and dance-pop genres of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
