Liquid Gold was a British disco group formed in 1978. The band consisted of singer Ellie Hope, bassist and keyboardist Ray Knott, guitarist and keyboardist Adrian Baker, and drummer and percussionist Wally Rothe. They are best known for their hit single "Dance Yourself Dizzy," which reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in 1980. The song also charted well internationally, reaching the top 10 in several countries.
In addition to "Dance Yourself Dizzy," Liquid Gold released a few other singles, including "Anyway You Do It" and "My Baby's Baby." The group disbanded in the mid-1980s after a few years of moderate success in the disco music scene. Liquid Gold's music is often described as upbeat and catchy, typical of the disco sound of the era.
