Artist Bio:
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam was an American pop and R&B group formed in 1984. The group consisted of lead singer Lisa Velez, guitarist/bassist Alex "Spanador" Moseley, and drummer/keyboardist Mike Hughes. They were signed to Columbia Records and achieved commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their debut album, "Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force," was released in 1985 and spawned hits like "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and "Can You Feel the Beat."

Their second album, "Spanish Fly," was released in 1987 and included the chart-topping single "Head to Toe." The group's music combined elements of pop, R&B, and dance music, and they were known for their catchy hooks and Lisa Lisa's soulful vocals. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam disbanded in the early 1990s, but their music continues to be celebrated for its influence on the freestyle and dance music genres.
