Lita Ford is a British-American rock guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, known for her work in The Runaways and as a solo artist. She was born on September 19, 1958, in London, England, and began her music career in the late 1970s. Ford joined the all-female rock band The Runaways in 1976, where she played lead guitar alongside Joan Jett. After The Runaways disbanded in 1979, Ford launched a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "Out for Blood" (1983) and "Lita" (1988), which featured hit singles like "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Close My Eyes Forever," a duet with Ozzy Osbourne.


Throughout her career, Ford has been recognized for her contributions to rock music, particularly as one of the pioneering female guitarists in the genre. She has continued to tour and release music, maintaining a dedicated fan base and solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the rock music industry.
