Artist Bio:
Little Anthony and The Imperials is an American rhythm and blues/soul vocal group that was formed in New York City in the 1950s. The group originally consisted of lead singer Jerome Anthony "Little Anthony" Gourdine, Clarence Collins, Ernest Wright, and Tracey Lord. They are best known for their hits in the 1960s, including "Tears on My Pillow" and "Goin' Out of My Head," which helped solidify their reputation as one of the premier doo-wop and R&B groups of the era. Little Anthony's distinctive falsetto vocals, combined with the harmonies of The Imperials, set them apart from other groups of the time.
The group went through various lineup changes over the years, with Little Anthony being the constant member throughout their career. Little Anthony and The Imperials were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, recognizing their contributions to the music industry and their enduring influence on the doo-wop and soul genres.
