Little Anthony and The Imperials were an American rhythm and blues/soul vocal group formed in New York City in the 1950s. The group's original lineup consisted of Jerome "Little Anthony" Gourdine, Clarence Collins, Ernest Wright, and Tracy Lord. Little Anthony, with his distinctive high-pitched voice, became the group's lead singer and was known for his impressive vocal range and emotional delivery.
The group achieved great success in the 1960s with hits such as "Tears on My Pillow" and "Goin' Out of My Head," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 and are considered one of the most influential vocal groups of the doo-wop and R&B eras. Little Anthony and The Imperials continue to perform and tour, bringing their timeless music to new generations of fans.
