Little Anthony and the Imperials is an American rhythm and blues/soul vocal group from New York City. The group was formed in the late 1950s and gained fame in the 1960s with hits such as "Tears on My Pillow" and "Goin' Out of My Head." The group is known for their tight harmonies and the powerful falsetto voice of lead singer Jerome "Little Anthony" Gourdine. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.


Little Anthony and the Imperials are considered one of the greatest doo-wop groups of all time, blending doo-wop, soul, and R&B to create their unique sound. The group has continued to perform and record music over the years, maintaining a dedicated fan base and a legacy as pioneers of soul music.
