Artist Bio:
Little Eva, born Eva Narcissus Boyd in June 1943, was an American singer known for her hit song "The Loco-Motion." She began her career as a maid and babysitter for songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin, who discovered her singing talent and recorded "The Loco-Motion" with her in 1962. The song became a massive success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and selling over one million copies.

Following the success of "The Loco-Motion," Little Eva released several other singles, but none matched the popularity of her debut hit. She eventually left the music industry and returned to her job as a domestic worker. Little Eva passed away in April 2003 at the age of 59, but her legacy lives on through her iconic song and contribution to the early 1960s music scene.
