Artist Bio:
Little Willie John was an American R&B singer who was born on November 15, 1937, in Cullendale, Arkansas, and died on May 26, 1968, in Walla Walla, Washington. He was known for his powerful and soulful voice, often compared to that of Ray Charles. John's music career began in the 1950s when he signed with King Records and released several hit songs including "All Around the World" and "Fever."

Despite his talent and success, John's personal life was marked by legal troubles, including multiple arrests and a conviction for manslaughter in 1966. He was ultimately sentenced to prison and died of a heart attack while incarcerated at the age of 30. Little Willie John's music continues to be influential in the R&B genre, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
