Artist Bio:
Little Willie John was an American R&B singer born on November 15, 1937, in Arkansas. He gained popularity in the 1950s and 1960s for his powerful voice and emotional delivery. Some of his most well-known songs include "Fever," "All Around the World," and "Talk to Me, Talk to Me." John's music had a significant influence on the development of soul music, and he was often praised for his vocal range and ability to convey deep emotion in his performances.


Despite his musical success, John faced personal struggles, including issues with alcohol and legal troubles. In 1966, he was convicted of manslaughter for stabbing a man during a bar fight and was sentenced to prison. Tragically, Little Willie John died in prison on May 26, 1968, at the age of 30. Despite his relatively short career, his impact on the music industry is still recognized today, with many artists citing him as a major influence in the development of soul and R&B music.
