Living Colour is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1984. The band's lineup consists of vocalist Corey Glover, guitarist Vernon Reid, bassist Doug Wimbish, and drummer Will Calhoun. Living Colour is known for their fusion of rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, and metal influences, creating a unique and eclectic sound. They are often credited with pioneering the genre of alternative metal.


Living Colour gained mainstream success with their debut album "Vivid" in 1988, which featured the hit single "Cult of Personality." The song won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1990. The band has released several albums since then, including "Time's Up" in 1990 and "Stain" in 1993. Living Colour continues to tour and record music, maintaining a devoted fan base and critical acclaim for their innovative and socially conscious music.
