LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith on January 14, 1968, is an American rapper, actor, and entrepreneur. He is known for being one of the pioneers of hip hop music and is considered a significant figure in the genre's history. LL Cool J stands for "Ladies Love Cool James," a nickname he adopted early in his career. He released his debut album, "Radio," in 1985, which featured the hit single "I Can't Live Without My Radio." Throughout his career, LL Cool J has released numerous successful albums and singles, including "Mama Said Knock You Out" and "Going Back to Cali."


In addition to his music career, LL Cool J has also found success as an actor, appearing in films such as "Deep Blue Sea" and "Any Given Sunday," as well as starring in the TV series "NCIS: Los Angeles."
