LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith on January 14, 1968, is an American rapper, actor, and entrepreneur. He is known for pioneering the hip-hop genre and is considered one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time. LL Cool J stands for "Ladies Love Cool James," a nickname he adopted early in his career. He released his debut album, "Radio," in 1985, which helped him rise to fame with hits like "I Can't Live Without My Radio" and "Rock the Bells."


LL Cool J has released over a dozen albums throughout his career, with several hit singles, including "Mama Said Knock You Out," "Around the Way Girl," and "Hey Lover." In addition to his successful music career, LL Cool J has also ventured into acting, appearing in films like "Deep Blue Sea," "Any Given Sunday," and "S.W.A.T." He is also known for his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna on the television series "NCIS: Los Angeles." LL Cool J has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
