Loggins & Messina was an American rock-pop duo consisting of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina. They formed in 1971 and were active until 1976. Kenny Loggins was the primary songwriter and vocalist, while Jim Messina played lead guitar, sang backing vocals, and produced their albums.
During their time together, Loggins & Messina released a string of successful albums, including "Sittin' In" (1971), "Loggins and Messina" (1972), and "Full Sail" (1973). They are best known for hits such as "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "House at Pooh Corner." The duo's music often featured intricate vocal harmonies, acoustic instrumentation, and a mix of folk, rock, and country influences. Despite disbanding in 1976, Loggins & Messina have left a lasting legacy in the music industry and are remembered as one of the prominent duos of the 1970s.
