Lone Justice was a country rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1982. The band was fronted by singer Maria McKee and included members such as guitarist Ryan Hedgecock, bassist Marvin Etzioni, and drummer Don Heffington. Their sound blended elements of country, rock, and punk, drawing comparisons to artists like Linda Ronstadt and The Byrds.
Lone Justice released their self-titled debut album in 1985, which featured the hit single "Ways to Be Wicked." The band's energetic live performances and McKee's powerful vocals garnered them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Despite their initial success, Lone Justice disbanded in 1987 after releasing their second album, "Shelter." Maria McKee went on to have a successful solo career, while the band's influence on the country rock genre continued to be felt in the years to come.
