Lone Justice was a country-rock band that originated in Los Angeles, California in the 1980s. The band was formed by lead singer Maria McKee and guitarist Ryan Hedgecock. They were known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blended elements of country, rock, and punk music. Lone Justice gained attention in the music industry for their self-titled debut album released in 1985, which featured the hit single "Ways to Be Wicked."
The band went through several lineup changes over the years, with McKee being the only consistent member. Despite critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base, Lone Justice disbanded in 1987. Maria McKee continued to pursue a solo career after the breakup of the band, releasing several solo albums that showcased her powerful vocals and songwriting abilities.
