The band's original lineup consisted of Richie McDonald (lead vocals), Michael Britt (lead guitar, backing vocals), Keech Rainwater (drums), Dean Sams (keyboards, backing vocals), and John Rich (bass guitar, backing vocals). Lonestar gained popularity in the 1990s with hit songs such as "Amazed," "I'm Already There," and "My Front Porch Looking In," which helped establish them as one of the leading country music groups of the time.
