Lords of the Underground is a hip hop group from Newark, New Jersey, consisting of members Dupré "Doitall" Kelly, Al'Terik "Mr. Funke" Wardrick, and Bruce Anthony "DJ Lord Jazz" Colston. They are known for their energetic and aggressive style, combining strong lyricism with catchy beats. The group rose to prominence in the early 1990s with their debut album "Here Come the Lords," which featured the hit singles "Chief Rocka" and "Funky Child."


Lords of the Underground were part of the golden era of hip hop and were associated with the legendary hip hop collective, the Native Tongues.
