Los Del Mar is a Spanish music duo consisting of Pedro Castaño and José Antonio Rodríguez. They are best known for their hit single "Macarena," which was a remix of the original song by Los del Rio. Released in 1995, "Macarena" became a worldwide sensation and topped the charts in several countries, including the United States, where it spent 14 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The success of "Macarena" led to Los Del Mar releasing an album titled "Macarena Non Stop" in 1996. Despite the massive popularity of their single, the duo never replicated the same level of success with their subsequent releases. Los Del Mar's version of "Macarena" remains their most well-known and enduring contribution to the music industry.
