Lou Christie, born Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco on February 19, 1943, is an American singer-songwriter known for his falsetto vocals and hit songs in the 1960s. He rose to fame with the release of his first single "The Gypsy Cried" in 1962, followed by his biggest hit "Lightnin' Strikes" in 1966, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Christie's music is characterized by his powerful falsetto voice and his ability to blend traditional pop with rock and roll elements.


In addition to "Lightnin' Strikes," Lou Christie had other notable hits such as "Two Faces Have I" and "I'm Gonna Make You Mine."
