Artist Bio:
Lou Johnson was an American soul singer who was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1941 and passed away in 2019. He started his music career in the early 1960s and gained recognition for his smooth and soulful voice. Johnson signed with Big Top Records and released his first single, "Reach Out for Me," in 1963. His biggest hit came in 1969 with the release of the song "Always Something There to Remind Me," which reached the top 10 on the R&B charts.


Despite achieving success with his music, Johnson's career was overshadowed by legal and financial troubles. He struggled to maintain his popularity in the changing music landscape of the 1970s and 1980s. However, his music continued to be appreciated by soul music fans and he is remembered as a talented artist who contributed to the soul music genre.
