Love's original lineup consisted of Arthur Lee, Johnny Echols, Bryan MacLean, Ken Forssi, and Alban "Snoopy" Pfisterer. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1966, is considered a classic of the genre, featuring tracks like "My Little Red Book" and "Signed D.C."

Love's third album, "Forever Changes," released in 1967, is often cited as one of the greatest albums of all time.
