Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, keyboardist Doug Johnson, bassist Scott Smith, and drummer Matt Frenette. Loverboy achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with their self-titled debut album released in 1980, which included hit singles like "Turn Me Loose" and "The Kid is Hot Tonight."


Throughout the 1980s, Loverboy continued to release successful albums and singles, including the albums "Get Lucky" and "Keep It Up."
