Artist Bio:
Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, keyboardist Doug Johnson, bassist Scott Smith, and drummer Matt Frenette. They are best known for their hits such as "Working for the Weekend," "Turn Me Loose," and "Lovin' Every Minute of It." Loverboy achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with their catchy, arena rock sound and energetic live performances.

The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1980 and was a commercial success, reaching multi-platinum status. Loverboy went on to release several more albums throughout the 1980s and continued to tour and perform live. Despite facing tragedy with the death of bassist Scott Smith in 2000, Loverboy has continued to tour and release new music, solidifying their status as one of Canada's most successful rock bands.
