Loverboy is a Canadian rock band formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. The band's lineup consists of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, keyboardist Doug Johnson, bassist Ken "Spider" Sinnaeve, and drummer Matt Frenette. Loverboy achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with their hit singles such as "Turn Me Loose," "Working for the Weekend," and "Lovin' Every Minute of It." Their self-titled debut album, released in 1980, was a commercial success and certified 4x Platinum in the United States.
Loverboy's music is characterized by its catchy hooks, polished production, and a mix of hard rock and pop elements. The band continues to tour and release new music, with a dedicated fan base that appreciates their energetic live performances and classic rock sound. Loverboy has released a total of seven studio albums, with their most recent being "Unfinished Business" in 2014.
