Lulu, born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, is a Scottish singer, actress, and television personality. She is best known for her hit song "To Sir, with Love" which topped the charts in both the UK and the US in 1967. Lulu had a string of successful hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Shout" and "Boom Bang-a-Bang," the latter winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 for the UK.
In addition to her music career, Lulu has also delved into acting, appearing in films such as the aforementioned "To Sir, with Love" alongside Sidney Poitier. She has also made numerous television appearances, including hosting her own TV show in the UK.
