Collins is best known for her 1972 hit single "Think (About It)," which has become a classic in the funk and hip-hop genres. The song's iconic drum break has been sampled by numerous artists, including Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock in their hit "It Takes Two."
Throughout her career, Lyn Collins collaborated with various artists and released several albums, including "Check Me Out If You Don't Know Me by Now" and "Female Preacher." She continued to perform and record music until her death on March 13, 2005, in Pasadena, California.
