Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1964. The band became known for their Southern rock sound, characterized by bluesy guitar riffs and powerful vocals. Lynyrd Skynyrd achieved commercial success in the 1970s with hit songs like "Sweet Home Alabama," "Free Bird," and "Simple Man."

The band has undergone various lineup changes over the years but has remained a popular live act, continuing to play their classic hits for fans around the world.
