Artist Bio:
Mac Davis was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, born on January 21, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas. He gained fame in the 1970s as a country music artist with hits such as "Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me" and "It's Hard to Be Humble." Davis was also known for writing songs for other artists, including Elvis Presley, such as "In the Ghetto" and "A Little Less Conversation."


In addition to his music career, Davis also had success in acting, appearing in films like "North Dallas Forty" and TV shows such as "Rodney Dangerfield's The Really Big Show." He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000 and the National Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006. Mac Davis passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 78.
