Artist Bio:
Mac Davis was an American country music singer, songwriter, and actor. Born on January 21, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas, Davis had a successful career in the music industry, with hits such as "Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me" and "It's Hard to Be Humble." He also wrote songs for other artists, including Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers, and Dolly Parton. Davis was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000.


In addition to his music career, Mac Davis also had success as an actor, appearing in films such as "North Dallas Forty" and "The Sting II." He also had his own variety show, "The Mac Davis Show," which ran from 1974 to 1976. Davis passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 78.
