He began his music career in the early 1990s as a member of the hip hop group Westside Connection, alongside Ice Cube and WC. Mack 10 released his debut solo album, "Mack 10," in 1995, which was well-received and certified Gold by the RIAA. He went on to release several more successful albums, including "Based on a True Story" and "The Recipe." Mack 10 is known for his West Coast gangsta rap style and his gritty lyrics that often depict street life and gang culture.
In addition to his music career, Mack 10 has also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as "Thicker Than Water" and "Da Spot."
