Artist Bio:
Mama Cass, born Ellen Naomi Cohen on September 19, 1941, was an American singer and member of the folk rock vocal group The Mamas & The Papas. She was known for her powerful and soulful voice, which became a defining feature of the group's sound. The Mamas & The Papas achieved great success in the 1960s with hits such as "California Dreamin'" and "Monday, Monday".


Mama Cass also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums and singles. She is perhaps best known for her rendition of "Dream a Little Dream of Me". Tragically, Mama Cass passed away on July 29, 1974, at the age of 32. Despite her untimely death, she left behind a lasting legacy as a talented and influential singer in the folk rock genre.
