Mama Cass Elliot, born Ellen Naomi Cohen on September 19, 1941, was an American singer and actress best known as a member of the folk rock vocal group The Mamas & the Papas. Elliot's powerful and soulful voice contributed to the group's success in the 1960s, with hits like "California Dreamin'" and "Monday, Monday". She also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums including "Dream a Little Dream" and "Bubblegum, Lemonade, and... Something for Mama".


Aside from her music career, Mama Cass Elliot also ventured into acting, appearing in TV shows and films such as "The Big T.N.T. Show" and "You Are What You Eat". Tragically, she passed away on July 29, 1974, at the age of 32, due to heart failure. Mama Cass Elliot's legacy lives on as a talented singer and performer who left a significant mark on the music industry.
