Marcia Griffiths is a Jamaican singer known for her contributions to reggae music. She was born on November 23, 1949, in Kingston, Jamaica. Griffiths started her music career in the 1960s as a member of the vocal group, the I-Threes, alongside Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt, who provided backing vocals for Bob Marley and the Wailers.
In the 1970s, Griffiths embarked on a successful solo career, releasing hit songs such as "Electric Boogie" and "Feel Like Jumping." She is often referred to as the "Queen of Reggae" and has received numerous awards for her contributions to the genre. Griffiths continues to perform and record music, maintaining a strong presence in the reggae music scene both in Jamaica and internationally.
