Artist Bio:
Mark Dinning was an American pop singer and songwriter born on August 17, 1933, and passed away on March 22, 1986. He is best known for his hit song "Teen Angel," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1960. The song, written by Dinning's sister Jean, tells the tragic story of a teenage couple who are involved in a fatal car accident. "Teen Angel" was one of the biggest hits of the early 1960s and solidified Dinning's place in music history.

Despite the success of "Teen Angel," Dinning was unable to replicate its popularity with subsequent releases. He continued to record music throughout the 1960s and 1970s but never achieved the same level of success. Dinning's legacy is largely tied to "Teen Angel," which remains a classic of the early rock and roll era.
