Mark Wills is an American country music artist born on August 8, 1973, in Cleveland, Tennessee. He rose to fame in the late 1990s with hits such as "Jacob's Ladder" and "I Do (Cherish You)." Wills signed to Mercury Records Nashville in 1996 and released his self-titled debut album in 1996, which included his first number one single, "Jacob's Ladder." He continued to have success throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s with several chart-topping hits.


Throughout his career, Mark Wills has released a total of seven studio albums, with his latest being "Looking for America" in 2011. He has also won multiple awards, including the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist award in 1998. Mark Wills has remained active in the country music scene, performing live shows and releasing new music for his fans.
