The group achieved major success with hits like "Dancing in the Street," "Nowhere to Run," and "Heat Wave," earning them a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In addition to her music career, Martha Reeves served as an elected councilwoman for the city of Detroit from 2005 to 2009. She has received numerous accolades for her contributions to music, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
