Martha Reeves & The Vandellas were an American vocal group formed in 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of Martha Reeves along with Rosalind Ashford and Annette Beard. They achieved significant success in the 1960s with their hits such as "Heat Wave," "Dancing in the Street," and "Nowhere to Run."


Martha Reeves & The Vandellas were known for their energetic performances and powerful vocals, blending elements of R&B, pop, and soul music. They were signed to Motown Records and became one of the label's most successful acts during the height of the Motown era. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 in recognition of their impact on popular music and their enduring influence on future generations of musicians.
