Martha & The Vandellas were an American vocal group formed in 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. The group achieved fame in the 1960s with a string of hit singles on the Motown label. The group's original lineup consisted of Martha Reeves, Rosalind Ashford, and Annette Beard. The group's sound was characterized by energetic and soulful vocals, with a mix of pop, R&B, and gospel influences.
