Martha & The Vandellas were an American vocal group formed in 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. The group achieved fame in the 1960s with a string of hit songs on the Motown label. The group was led by Martha Reeves and featured Rosalind Ashford and Annette Beard. They were known for their energetic performances and catchy, danceable tunes. Some of their most popular songs include "Dancing in the Street," "Heat Wave," and "Nowhere to Run."


Martha & The Vandellas were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, recognizing their influence and contribution to the Motown sound. They were also a prominent part of the 1960s music scene, with their music continuing to be celebrated and enjoyed by audiences around the world.
