Martika is an American pop singer and actress born on May 18, 1969, in Whittier, California. She rose to fame in the late 1980s with hits such as "Toy Soldiers" and "Love... Thy Will Be Done." Martika released her debut album, self-titled "Martika," in 1988, which was certified Gold in the United States. She followed up with her sophomore album, "Martika's Kitchen," in 1991, which included the successful single "Love... Thy Will Be Done," co-written by Prince.
In addition to her music career, Martika also pursued acting, appearing in the popular television series "Kids Incorporated" in the mid-1980s. She also had roles in shows like "Wiseguy" and "The New Leave It to Beaver." Martika continues to perform music and has released new material in recent years, showcasing her talent as a singer-songwriter.
