Marty Robbins, born in 1925 in Arizona, was a prominent American country music singer, songwriter, and actor. He was known for his versatile musical style that blended elements of country, rockabilly, and pop. Robbins released numerous hit songs throughout his career, including "El Paso," "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation," and "Big Iron." He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982. Apart from his musical success, Robbins also had a passion for racing and competed in NASCAR events. He passed away in 1982 at the age of 57.
