Marty Robbins was a popular American country and western singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born on September 26, 1925, in Glendale, Arizona, and passed away on December 8, 1982, in Nashville, Tennessee. Robbins was known for his smooth, crooning vocals and his ability to blend country music with elements of rockabilly, pop, and the American West.


Throughout his career, Marty Robbins released numerous hit songs, including "El Paso," "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation," and "Big Iron." He was also a talented guitarist and often incorporated his guitar playing skills into his live performances. In addition to his music career, Robbins was also a successful NASCAR race car driver, participating in several racing events during the 1970s. Marty Robbins was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982, shortly after his passing, in recognition of his contributions to the country music genre.
