Marty Robbins was an American country music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born on September 26, 1925, in Glendale, Arizona, and passed away on December 8, 1982. Robbins was known for his smooth singing voice and his ability to blend traditional country with elements of rockabilly, pop, and folk music. He released over 50 studio albums and is best known for hits such as "El Paso," "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation," and "Big Iron."


In addition to his music career, Marty Robbins was also a talented NASCAR driver, participating in over 35 races during the 1960s. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982, the year of his passing, and his influence on country music continues to be felt to this day.
