Marty Robbins was an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born on September 26, 1925, in Glendale, Arizona. He was best known for his contributions to country music, but he also dabbled in rockabilly, pop, and Hawaiian music throughout his career. Robbins released over 50 studio albums and 100 singles during his time in the music industry, achieving significant success with hits like "El Paso," "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation," and "Devil Woman."


In addition to his musical talents, Marty Robbins was also a successful NASCAR driver, participating in 35 Grand National races throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982, recognizing his lasting impact on the genre. Robbins' career was cut short when he passed away from a heart attack on December 8, 1982, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music that continues to influence artists today.
