Artist Bio:
Marty Robbins (1925-1982) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Glendale, Arizona, and began his music career in the late 1940s. Robbins is best known for his smooth, crooning vocals and his versatile musical style that incorporated elements of country, rockabilly, and pop. He released numerous hit songs throughout his career, including "El Paso," "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation," and "Devil Woman."


In addition to his successful music career, Robbins was also a talented NASCAR driver and competed in several races during the 1970s. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1982, shortly after his death from complications following cardiac surgery. Marty Robbins left behind a lasting legacy in country music and is remembered as one of the genre's most influential artists.
