Marvin Sapp is an American gospel singer, pastor, and songwriter. He was born on January 28, 1967, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sapp is best known for his powerful and soulful voice, as well as his uplifting and inspirational gospel music. He rose to fame as a member of the gospel group Commissioned before pursuing a successful solo career.
Sapp has released several albums throughout his career, including "Thirsty," "Here I Am," and "You Shall Live," which have all garnered critical acclaim and commercial success. He has won multiple awards for his music, including several Stellar Awards and a BET Award. In addition to his music career, Sapp is also the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
