Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Orlando, Florida. The band consists of lead vocalist Rob Thomas, rhythm guitarist Kyle Cook, lead guitarist Paul Doucette, bassist Brian Yale, and drummer Ryan MacMillan. Matchbox Twenty gained popularity in the late 1990s with their debut album, "Yourself or Someone Like You," which included hits such as "Push," "3AM," and "Real World."


The band has released a total of four studio albums, with their most recent album, "North," being released in 2012. Matchbox Twenty has sold over 30 million records worldwide and has received several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for their song "Smooth" featuring Rob Thomas and Santana.
