Matt Monro, born Terence Edward Parsons in 1930, was a renowned English singer who achieved international fame in the 1960s. He was known for his smooth vocal style and was often referred to as the "British Sinatra." Monro's career took off after he was discovered by George Martin, the producer for The Beatles, who signed him to a recording contract. Monro's debut single, "Portrait of My Love," became a hit in the UK in 1960, marking the beginning of his successful recording career.


Throughout his career, Matt Monro released numerous albums and singles, including popular songs like "Born Free" and "From Russia with Love," the theme song for the James Bond film of the same name. He toured internationally and performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London.
