Artist Bio:
Matthews' Southern Comfort is a British folk-rock band led by singer-songwriter Ian Matthews. The band was formed in 1970 after Matthews left Fairport Convention. Their self-titled debut album was released the same year and featured a cover of Joni Mitchell's song "Woodstock," which became their biggest hit, reaching the top 30 on the UK Singles Chart. The band's music is characterized by a mix of traditional folk and country influences with a contemporary rock sound.

After disbanding in the early 1970s, Matthews' Southern Comfort reunited in 2010 with a new lineup. They continue to perform and release music, with Ian Matthews as the only original member. The band's music has been praised for its harmonies, thoughtful lyrics, and unique blend of musical styles, making them a notable presence in the British folk-rock scene.
